High-growth Toronto-based FinTech company DealMaker is led by its Co-Founder and CEO, Rebecca Kacaba, who was recently voted as one of Canada’s most powerful women.
DealMaker’s e-commerce-style digital platform enables high-growth private companies to raise capital online while marketing equity crowdfunding raises to the broader public.
DealMaker has processed over $1.7Bn in transactions, and over 650,000 investments to date - more than any competitor in North America, with its technology deployed in eight of the ten most significant online capital raises globally in the past 14 months.
Kacaba’s vision when launching DealMaker’s digital platform was rooted in the huge pain point in the market she saw where clients were suffering through processes for issuers and investors being expensive and obsolete:
“Our innovation is advancing the equity crowdfunding space by increasing access to capital to founders who previously have been under-funded while also providing pre-IPO investment opportunities for those not behind the gilded gates of Wall Street.”
Kacaba herself has been a leading figure in Canadian enterprise, referred to as an unstoppable force by her peers, powering the growth and expansion of Dealmaker in her mission to disrupt and improve the industry. The Women’s Executive Network also recognized her as one of Canada’s most powerful women in 2022.
In recognition of Kacaba’s career, fellow DealMaker Co-Founder Mat Goldstein said: “In the over a decade I’ve known Rebecca, I have never met someone more brave, determined, and strong.
“Rebecca has powered the growth and expansion of our company from an initial concept to one of Canada’s top-performing technology companies growing over 5,000% since incorporation. She has redefined my entire worldview on what it means to be driven. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be inspired by and learn from Rebecca’s exceptional dedication to excellence.”
Rebecca Kacaba will be part of this year’s burgeoning Equity Crowdfunding and Investment Webinar Series, with the first webinar – Equity Crowdfunding in 2023, taking place on the 22nd of February and hosted by Crowdfund Insider Chairman and Editor-In-Chief Andrew Dix.
Rebecca Kacaba will feature as a panellist alongside other leading industry minds, such as Dalmore Group chairman Etan Butler and World Digital Foundation chairman Paul Stannard to discuss the growth and consolidation of the Equity Crowdfunding industry throughout 2022 and the expectations and opportunities revealing themselves in the year ahead.
